About Bassendean: The big, beautiful Bassendean has been a mainstay for locals since it first opened in 1930, to a line down the block of thirsty Perth residents. Our restoration of this local favourite will pay homage to the local heritage and character of the pub, staying true to its roots but refreshing the features of this historical hotel. We are restoring the original brickwork, collecting historical photos and news about the town and hotel to feature on the pub walls as well as revitalising original fireplaces and vintage structures to add functionality and focus on the beautiful space. As well as restoring the interiors, The Basso will feature a new courtyard and playground as well as a beer garden, adding to the lounges, intimate functions spaces and saloon bar. What are we looking for?
